GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! So can I get a little closer, so I can get to know you? And exchange names and thangs, before the night is over? LET'S GO TO PRESS.

Around 300 showed up yesterday at Portland's City Hall to show their support and speak out for the Charlottesville protesters—one of whom died—pushing back against white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

And if you somehow missed it, a large gathering of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and KKK members descended upon Charlottesville, VA for a pro-racsim rally and were met by counterprotesters who were not going to stand for this type of bullshit. Violence erupted, and one woman was killed (and 19 injured) when a 20-year-old rammed the counterprotesters with his car. He was arrested and is being investigated by the feds for a suspected hate crime. For hours, Trump had nothing to say about the violence (though his wife and daughter did) and when he did say something, he blamed both sides. The world flipped out, including a Black member of the president's manufacturing council who quit in protest of Trump's remarks. In turn, Trump mocked the man on Twitter. Now the White House is desperately trying to put out the raging public relations fire. But make no mistake: While racism in America has always been strong, Trump in particular is to blame for this weekend's horror show in Charlottesville.

Here's more about the heroic and brave Heather Heyerthe woman killed in Charlottesville protesting hatred and white supremacy.

I know how you all love "punching Nazis" news, so check out this story of a drunk American tourist in Germany who got his stupid face punched for giving the Nazi salute.

It's suspected that North Korea's recent and unexpected success with their missile campaign is linked to Ukraine.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the US has a wide range of military options at their disposal in their conflict with North Korea, but stresses that diplomacy will be used first.

Though the Timbers were the underdogs in their match with Toronto this weekend, for a while they were doing great... until they weren't. Our Abe Asher has recap and explains what went right and wrong.

And now let's look up at the WEATHER: A nice day today with sunny skies and a very reasonable high of 77.

And finally, I would like to see this guy—WHO IS PUNCHING A BEAR TRAP—punch a Nazi.
