The Bon Appétit-sponsored Feast food festival has just added an event to its already jam-packed schedule of events, but organizers say this one’s been arranged for a very good cause. A couple of good causes in fact.

Its newly added "Feast for All" event will raise funds for those whose lives were upturned by the Houston flood as well as our neighbors who’ve been affected by the Columbia Gorge wildfire.

"Feast for All" takes place on Sunday, September 17, from 4 to 7 pm at KitchenCru, the commissary kitchen located at 337 NW Broadway.

Besides helping out some people who really need help right now, why should you go?

The event will feature plates dished up by local celebrity chefs Doug Adams (the upcoming Ballard), Ian and Becky Atkins (Stella Taco), Bonnie Morales (Kachka), Earl Ninsom (Langbaan), BJ Smith (Smokehouse Tavern), Nate Tilden (Olympia Provisions and Bar Casa Vale) and Houston’s very own Ryan Lachaine (Riel).

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. If you want to pay more than $30, there are instructions on the reservations page that explain how you can add to your generosity.

Proceeds will go to the Friends of Columbia Gorge and the Red Cross.
