Don’t bother with the whole Valentine’s dinner date thing (it’s basically amateur night and the very worst time to visit a restaurant). Instead head to Natty by Nature, a wine bar pop up that also features food from the fine folks at Tourant and a soundtrack of classic hip-hop from the '80s and '90s.

Run by Dana Frank (the wine maven formerly of Dame and Ava Gene’s), there will be a selection of natural wines by the glass (for the nerds that means things like orange wine from central Europe; for everyone else there’s lots of Champagne). Oysters, cured meats, and a big pan of smoky clam and chorizo fidoes will be trundling out from the kitchen. They’re keeping it casual—think sociable conviviality rather than staring into your significant other’s eyes all night. Tickets are $49 in advance (available here), though you can also just stop by for a drink at the bar.
