According to Texas police, the bomber that has been terrorizing the city of Austin with package explosives (a white dude, naturally) has blown himself up in response to the cops closing in on him. The attacks appeared racially motivated, though authorities are investigating the motive.
Days after imposing sanctions on Russia for meddling in the 2016 election, Trump called his buddy Vladimir Putin to congratulate him for his presidential victory in what was almost certainly a rigged election. (He didn't mention Russia's repeated cyber attacks, or how the country masterminded the nerve agent murder of a man and his daughter on British soilāprobably because he wanted to keep the conversation light!)
"DO NOT CONGRATULATE," national security advisers wrote in Trump's written briefing ahead of call with Vladimir Putin. Trump congratulated. The notes said to condemn the attack of an ex-Russian spy in London with a nerve agent. He did not. https://t.co/HjCkbdkbb4

PROBABLY NOT RELATED AT ALL: Former CIA Director John Brennan speculated that Putin "may have something" on the president.
AGAIN, UNRELATED: Investors have devalued the worth of Facebook by $50 billion, and the Feds are opening investigations on the company after they ignored the mishandling of the personal data of 50 million users which was used by Cambridge Analytica to help get Trump elected. (Not to rub salt in anyone's wounds, but my personal data was not compromised [at least not in this way] because I never joined Facebookāand my life has been infinitely better because of it. Love ya!)
NOT AT ALL RELATED, OKAY?!: According to an employee of Cambridge Analytica, human artichoke/former Trump lackey Steve "Okay With Being Called Racist" Bannon was in charge of overseeing the Facebook data collection that probably had some influence on millions of voters.
A US District Court judge put the temporary kibosh on Mississippi's completely asinine 15-week abortion ban. Our Megan Burbank breaks down the good news for you.
Hero/Deputy Blaine Gaskill saved countless lives yesterday in a Maryland high school when he ran directly into the line of fire to stop a student shooter. Only two students were injured, and the shooter is dead.
Lawyer fight! Lawyer fight! The attorneys for Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen (Trump's personal lawyer) went after each other's throats in a CNN interview last night.
A Fox News commentator has loudly quit after suddenly realizing the network he worked for is an unethical bullshit machine.
Actress Pam Dawberāco-star of the '70s sitcom Mork & Mindyāsays that Robin Williams used to grope her and run around the set naked, among other sexually assault-y things. Apparently he was just being "playful," she says. Ugh.
Now let's peek at today's WEATHER: Light showers and a high of 54!
And finally, A KITTEN. WALKING ON A LEASH! (I'm not exactly sure why you'd need any more than that.)
