"...the (excellent) [new Ghostbusters film]".

Onerously bad, actually. It was a terrible film, and certainly the worst blockbuster released in 2016. Everyone who watched it as a film rather than a battleground for their culture war hated it. Right fight and statement about equality, wrong vehicle.

Onto Burton, who takes a lot of guff for trying new things with a few hiccups. Nobody gave Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children a fair chance and it remains very underrated because of that, but it's a very good movie. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt (in spite of casting Colin Farrell, snooze) because Burton is an immensely talented artist who often needs a cult audience to see and spread the word before his movies are given a fair shake and viewership. I think expect good things, because his career has delivered just that more often than not.
