Gooooood Morning Portland! It's going to be warm and sunny today, topping out at 77 degrees in the afternoon. It's perfect hiking weather if you can get out of town, and perfect outdoor drinking weather if you're stuck in town. Let's get to the news!

Although the U.S. has temporarily stopped detaining families at the border, it appears that the pause is just until the Pentagon can build more tent cities internment camps on military bases. By the way, mass internment is stage seven out of ten in the steps to genocide.

But Oregonians aren't standing idly by. An Oregon judge has granted the 121 immigrant detainees in Sheridan access to ACLU lawyers. The prisoners are to be given "know your rights" trainings or access to a lawyer before legal proceedings can occur.

And in Portland, the Occupy ICE PDX protest is entering its tenth day—though it's unclear how much longer it can last. Yesterday, Department of Homeland Security police officers entered the camp, and handed out fliers telling the protesters they are breaking the law.

Meanwhile, 2,000 families are still separated, and the best plan the administration has for reunification is a 1-800 number. Parents call a number and wait nearly a week to get any information about their kids.

Oh, and the Supreme Court just upheld the travel ban. This is the third iteration of the ban, and it excludes people from eight countries, six of which are primarily Muslim.

And the conservative-majority Supreme Court also ruled against a California law that forced pregnancy crisis centers to tell women about their right to an abortion, citing free speech in the winning arguments. The state had created the law because those centers are known to be deceitful about women's rights to an abortion.

In trade war news, Donald Trump is threatening Harley Davidson with massive taxes after the company said it would move production overseas in response to steep tariffs. So much for the tax-cut president—it turns our you only can get those benefits from the Trump administration if you fall into line.

Is it any surprise that Wall Street is bracing for a recession?

Seven states are heading into primaries today. Lots of Democrats are challenging Republican incumbents, and Democrats are also challenging each other. Here's a rundown of all the races.

Oregon is expecting a big wildfire season this year due to drought. Multnomah County declared the start of fire season this week, so don't burn anything in your backyard without a permit.

The warm weather is causing more than droughts—toxic algae is springing up in high levels, and not just in Salem.

The inmate who died in Multnomah County Jail last week has been identified as Michael R. Hart, 51. There's still no public information out about the cause of his death.

And finally some good news: The rising costs of housing in Portland are finally rising more slowly.

That's all folks! Make sure to take care of yourselves—with all the scary headlines, it's important to pay attention, but also important to make sure you don't devolve into a panicked depression. With that in mind, here's a bunch of Germans playing the made-up sport of Ice Football. It involves bowling shoes and a lot of waddling. For your mental health, of course.
