Dana Frank of Bar Norman and Bow & Arrow winery is launching her new book, Wine Food ($25, Lorena Jones). Teaming up with author and stylist Andrea Slonecker, she’s brought together a collection of rustic recipes and matched them with wines. The book provides an intimate and succinct guide to the wine world as each wine/region/style is introduced with an easy-to-follow snippet. It’ll make you smarter about what you are drinking, for sure.

There’s a launch party at Bar Norman tonight, featuring wine and food from the book, and there will be copies available for purchase. Tom Monroe (of the SE Wine Collective/Division Winemaking) is guest bartender. It’s free and runs from 4 pm until late.
