The NBA circus has rolled into Portland tonight for a huge, nationally televised game against Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Why is this game a big deal, you might ask? So many reasons!

1) It's opening night! How will Dame Lillard and our upstart Blazers look this year?
2) This is everyone's first real look at the re-tooled Lakers team with King James. He's been to the the NBA finals for eight straight seasons with two separate teams. Can he do it again with a third?

3) The Lakers and the Blazers have had a brewing west coast rivalry ever since the disastrously famous game 7 meltdown in the Western Conference finals of 2000. We must beat LA.
4) The Blazers have won 14 games in a row vs. the Lakers. Again, we must beat LA.
5) The Blazers have the longest home opener win streak ever achieved in the NBA, currently at 17. Will they make it 18 tonight?

Tickets for this game have been selling for hundreds, even thousands of dollars, so count yourself lucky if you're going to be there. But even if not, plan to be somewhere fun with your pals to see how this new season will begin for our hometown Trailblazers. Tip off is at 7:30pm tonight.
