In the time it would take you to post a photo of your lunch to Instagram, or apply bunny ears and cat whiskers to yet another car-based selfie—both things that are enjoyed by your followers far less than you assume—you could use that time to actually contribute something with potential value to the cause of cannabis legalization. The Food and Drug Administration wants to hear people's thoughts regarding cannabis being reclassified, and yes, that means YOU.

For the past week, the FDA has been collecting input to help inform how the US representative to the UN will vote in an upcoming proposal by the World Health Organization. The WHO wants cannabis and CBD rescheduled under international drug treaties, some of which go as far back back as 1961. Marijuana Moment reports that any decisions made by the WHO won't change existing US laws, but would give support to other countries considering full-scale legalization (à la Canada and Uruguay).

Marijuana Moment reports that the majority of comments have been positive, and that the last time input was solicited, more than 20,000 people weighed in. You have a week—until next Thursday, March 14th—to make your voice heard, which you can do by clicking here. Comments are made public, so if your parents still don't know what's up with your cannabis use and spend their spare time sifting through public comments made to the FDA, be cool.
