Portland's Poised to (Finally) Hold Airbnb Accountable for Shirking City Rules

The City of Portland does not have the Human Resources to inspect the airbnb applications already in pipeline.

I bought a house in February and I’m still waiting for an inspection. I am losing $$$ thousands per month while I wait.

You can’t have it both ways, City Council!

LOL, they aren't concerned about "safety," they want the permit revenue. Claims about "safety" ring hollow from the same Commissioners who try to stall the implementation of warning placards on unretrofitted buildings.

And if they are concerned about housing supply, guess what, just rezone the city to allow for a lot more housing. There's clearly tons of unmet demand for both short and long term housing.

Fuck unethical tourists and greedy real estate investors.
