To Serve & Protect: Phoenix's mayor has apologized after police officers pointed their guns and threatened to shoot a family after suspecting their 4-year-old daughter had stolen a doll from a store. The officers werenāt necessarily wrongāthe girl had left the Family Dollar store with a doll, unbeknownst to her parentsābut the fact they almost killed her parents over it (of course, officers believe the mother was āreaching for a gun,ā but there were no weapons found at the scene) is horrifying.
