Good Morning, Portland. Yesterday brought the news that Netflix is canceling Mercury favorite Tuca and Bertie after just one season. A moment of silence, please.

Okay, here are the headlines.

So Much For That: Robert Mueller finally testified before Congress yesterday, and it was... fine? Republicans obstructed, Mueller hemmed and hawed when asked direct questions, and nobody walked away with their minds changed. In other words: We probably aren't any closer to impeachment, unless Nancy Pelosi has a big change of heart.

Better Naito Forever, Man: The Portland Bureau of Transportation plans to transform a car lane on Naito Parkway into a permanent two-way bike lane. Here's an update on the design plans, which are still a work in progress.

Little Big Loss: Little Big Burger workers voted against forming a union this week. It's not clear what Little Big Union's next move will be. (By the way, did you know the chain is now owned by the same company that owns eight Hooters locations? They should totally unionize Hooters.)

Pffffttt: Sen. Ted Cruz, a man who lives several thousand miles away from Portland, is asking the federal government to investigate our own Mayor Ted Wheeler for allegedly supporting antifa. I wonder what antifa members would have to say about that?

Strike: Kaiser Permanente workers from Oregon and Washington picketed in Vancouver yesterday, in an attempt to pressure Kaiser to agree to better contract terms. A possible strike is on the way if Kaiser and the workers don't come to an agreement.

Stop the Stops: It's official: TriMet will close three MAX stops in March, two in downtown Portland and one in Goose Hollow. Read the Mercury's coverage from last month to learn how the closures will help speed up service through town.

A Compelling Argument for Jay Inslee:

It's summer! Have some fun at the Mercury's I, Anonymous Showβ€”and pregame with a $5 hard slushy.
