HELP WANTED: DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

The Portland Mercury seeks a Distribution Manager to oversee the bi-weekly circulation of 40,000 newspapers. Operating between our downtown office and close-in NE dock, the successful candidate must manage a group of independent carriers, route deliveries, newspaper box maintenance, schedule and recruitment of independent carriers, and basic data entry. The right candidate will be familiar with Portland streets and businesses, comfortable driving a company vehicle, enjoy taking initiative, have a good driving record, and personable communication skills. Prior distribution experience preferred but not required. Transportation is included for this position.
Part-time, flexible hours, $18-$19/hr approximately 20-25 hrs a week.
