what idiots. the usps has been removing blue boxes for years. they don't seem to realize that many people don't have a regular mailbox with a flag, or an outbox . We only have a tiny inbox. We are expected to drop our letters into a blue box or take them clear to the PO. Ridiculous. The USPS is now controlled by the Department of Homeland Security, did you all know that? Outrageous! and usps is not allowed to "compete" with other carriers ie, have lower rates! anyone notice how impossible it is to send a package nowadays? rates are thru the roof.
