Re: Texas social workers. ANY social worker that actually refuses service based on this bullshit should just go join another profession. "Social work" is a pretty broad term and can encompass lots of different jobs/duties, but the core value is pretty set: you help those that are underserved and/or disadvantaged in our society. If you ignore that then just get out of the field and find a position that might have similar duties but that clearly identifies you as someone that values your narrow view of faith over your ethical imperative to serve.
C'mon, Blair - when you gave examples of "urban" you used two cities (that's fine) but when you gave examples for "rural" you listed two whole states. Those states have urban areas too, just not so highly traveled to via plane like bigger coastal cities. New York state has plenty of "rural" areas. And while Kansas' cities aren't much to crow about, they are indeed "urban".

But really the only place worth your time in Kansas is Lawrence anyway. Not that I'm biased. *looks around shiftily)

You could watch the debate. You could even watch the People's Party debate response by Rose McGowan (Wait, what?).

Or you could watch any given episode of How to Fix Democracy.
