As a longtime reader (remembering that the Merc brought Dan Savage back to town after the stuck-up WW dropped him!) and now-monthly-contributor, and also someone who's sent you (and/or Dan) the occasional email-dope-slap on behalf of those of us whose lives were underrepresented by the depressingly white and male journalism profession?
