Governor Kate Brown will hold a press conference today at 11 am to provide an update on Oregon's response to the COVID-19 surge of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. We can also expect additional information regarding the recently implemented "risk" scale that's been applied to counties, as well as the upcoming rollout of coronavirus vaccines—how many doses we're expected to receive and who will be getting them first.

Currently the state's health care system has been overwhelmed by the number of surging coronavirus cases. There's also the prospect of a special session that could address the current eviction moratorium set to expire on January 1. Brown will be joined at today's press event by representatives from the Oregon Health Authority, and a lot of inquisitive reporters.
