Sounds about right for a Portlander. We'd rather play cosplay and pretend our city is some sort of fantastic, promised land than take a good look at ourselves and responsibility for our communities.
How about a new city motto, "The city that dissociates"
This happens many times every day - the smash and grab. Often, just the smash because a lot of people know βdonβt keep stuff in your car.β Still, the smash. Every day, all over the city. About time you noticed.

@Demondog β So true. A candidate for governor recently had her vehicle smashed while it was parked downtown. No grab, just a smash.
