Franzen seems so schlubby and unlikable that I can't muster up any real resentment or anger for him. Instead, I feel annoyed with myself for getting sucked into reading another interview with the misery turd.

If you don't understand what he means by "a poor person who has money" then you might be a literate person who can't read.
