* Tamara J. Brown & Ashleigh Flynn
Since there seem to be pretty much zero readings events happening this week, might as well come to this politically charged musical event with feminist rockers Brown and Flynn. It's a benefit for In Other Words bookstore, so it's definitely book related, and if you absolutely insist on hearing a reading, well there might just be a table full of fans drunk enough to listen to you read your favorite poem out loud. In Other Words at the white eagle, 836 N Russell, 232-6003, 9 pm, $8

* Wizard of Oz Sing-a-long
Surely you've attended a movie sing-a-long event by now (they are sweeping the nation after all), but have you gone to one INSIDE A LIBRARY!!? What could be more fun or cathartic than crooning your guts out in the cavernous confines of the local library? This afternoon you can find that needle nosed librarian who's always shushing you, saunter over, and sing at the top of your lungs, "IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN!" right in his or her ear--and not get in trouble for it! Midland Library, 805 SE 122nd, 2 pm, free
