Love having you in the Bay Area sharing your experiences. Please don't forget the East Bay community of Dispensaries and other medical focused services. I'm with Octavia Wellness the in-home service specifically for the senior communities. Get back at me if you're curious...hperofsky@mac.com

t's all Ore-Cal on the west coast, which is the best coast. I'd like to see more of a comparison between Ore/Cal and Colorado. That's where I think you'll see more different mentalities about cannabis legalization.

They'll definitely be playing Bob Marley in dispensaries out there, but their oils are far below Oregon or California quality. They're all about high THC strains out there, with little emphasis on medical. Try finding anything with CBD in Colorado. Few choices and far between.

Although I live in N. California, I lived in Oregon 17 years. Both states offer the "best" of something IMO.

California is where I find the BEST CBD tinctures in Sonoma. Sungrown ACDC and Harly specific oils infused in organic grape seed oil, for $40 a tincture. Nothing comes close.

Oregon is where I find my favorite THC ginger beer. At Tokyo Starfish in Bend you can get tasty ginger beer with 3, 10 or 25mg of THC. Makes a great Moscow Mule before a concert.

Oregon is where I find the BEST CO2 oil extractions. Critical Source in Eugene offers farm-specific organically grown strains or ratio-specific flower that goes through the best extraction process I've seen.

Out of curiosity, what do you think Washingtonians would think of being left out?

This Seattle resident is wondering the same thing. I've never bought legal weed anywhere else, so I don't have an educated opinion, and I've never been someone who thinks a place is naturally superior just because I live there.

I'd love to hear how our weed stacks up.

Medibles are so stupid-expensive in Oregon I've taken to busing to the Couve to reload on special candies. In Oregon, even with a medical card, to get a trippin'-high dose costs A LOT. It's also harvest season, so I've been hitting up friends for their crap leaf. Homemade butter for a tasty waffle in the mornng? Best of Oregon, affordably.

Hey y'all - My comparison of cannabis was based more on the experiences around it - such as having dispensaries where you could consume onsite, taxes that were never higher than 10%, and seeking out strains not readily available in Oregon. With a couple exceptions, I didn't compare each strain purchased with it's Oregon counterpart, but I did break down what I bought, how it vaped, what I paid and a bunch of other weed nerd data in this post. http://www.portlandmercury.com/blogtown/…
I would love to make a trip to Washington to sample your offerings, but I will need a sponsor. This trip totaled 400$ in weed expenses, not counting transportation to all the dispensaries. Washington was left out because, well, I was in California. HPofsky, will PM you. Weed butter is the BEST, on pancakes will send me back to bed. Thanks for reading everyone.

Please wait...
