Haze Square

Billed as the “first and only quad chamber vaporizer,” the Haze Square is a palm-sized portable unit that uses on-demand full convection heating and handles flower, concentrates, and oils. It’s solidly made with an innovative design, and for a light-to-moderate cannabis consumer (or two), this would be a great choice.

The Square is made of smooth-finished black metal, measuring 2.5 by 2.5 inches square and one inch deep, so even Trump-sized hands can handle it with ease. There are five preset temperatures, ranging between 320 and 410 degrees Fahrenheit. The “Pro” edition also has a phone app that allows you to customize the temperature options to an expanded range of 310 to 480 degrees Fahrenheit, with changing colors on the light-up temperature gauge and vibration alerts.

It twist-locks together with a single dial in the center of the unit. When unlocked, the Square disconnects into three pieces. You fill up to four individual chambers with your choice of flower or concentrate, allowing you to forgo having to repeatedly refill a single chamber or container. I filled mine up with two strains of flower and two types of hash from Green Bodhi, with about a quarter gram in each chamber. You can pack it fuller, but as this is a convection heater, a loose pack allows greater airflow to pass through for maximum benefits.

At a 350-degree setting, I got about 12 hits per chamber. Once done, I simply turned the unit like a Rubik’s Cube to the next chamber. (Each one is cleverly numbered, so unless you’re really stoned, you won’t forget which bowl is filled or cashed.) A single battery charge allowed me to consume all four chambers.

You draw through a small removable mouthpiece that I’m certain will be the first of several small parts I will lose. It all comes apart for easy cleaning, and can also be used while charging. The Square comes with a 10-year warranty, and extra batteries are available.
