And, shockingly, pay for their food fairly one way or another, whether indirectly through subsidies (taxes), or directly through higher priced farmers markets, enough land to grow their own food, or a magical combination of both. I'm on the fence on this one, but leaning more towards the farmer, because I know the source of my food and how it gets there(plus i used to be a big rig driver, so I know the trucking companies that transport all these hipster's and yuppie's milk, eggs, meat, bread, clothes,etc). It's unfortunate we can't get along better in a small encounter like Anon poetically posted here, but, in my opinion, this sounds like geographical class warfare.....the rural vs the urban. It goes back many decades.

It doesn't matter the size of the farm, because I would guess about 98% of all farms big and small, use a gas burning vehicle to transport produce to the marketplace, with the remaining 2% being your local neighborhood grower or you growing your own food(which will become necessary sooner than we think) using biofuel vehicles or bikes to transport to the marketplace.

But for the sake of comedy, Snickerdoodle cracked me the hell up!

Do any of you dumb fucks know how few crops actually get government subsidies? Here, I'll list them for you: Feed grains (mostly corn), Upland Cotton, Wheat, Rice, Soybeans, Dairy, Peanuts, Sugar, Tobacco, Wool and Vegetable Oil products. So, if this is all you eat, yeah, fuck farmers and their government subsidies - if you really wanted to stand behind your words you'd put down your tofu burger or your meat substitute veggie burger on a wheat bun, stop eating rice bowls, drinking soy milk and put out your hipster ass cigarettes.
