Rocket is rad.

Thank you 'GS' for putting into words my exact feelings!
It's a little this called ACCOUNTABILITY people. Look it up.

I'm still trying to understand why sterilization is needed to remain childless.
Or at least, the article seemed to champion these people. I have managed to avoid kids all these years without getting snipped.
The decision to get sterilized seems to me to be something rather political in nature.
And, peoples goals do change quite a bit from a 25 yr old to a 35 yr old.

Well frankieb, condoms suck and some women don't like putting hormones into their bodies.
5
You don't think I know?
Still gonna need condoms if you don't wanna catch some cooties though, right?
6
Lots of cooties range outside of the "rubber zone", warts, the herp etc.

Let's not forget about the other occupy postcard that starts out whining about "I have 3 kids blah blah blah" Anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size knows the economy has been going downhill for over 10 years, what made you think having 3 kids would be a good idea? Is it really the banks fault that you were too stupid to use birth control? I dont think so...

Maybe a lack of new children will nudge the PDX high school graduation rate over 52%. Maybe not.

The "GLOBULAR" letter is certainly the best this week!
10
"After fighting my growing disgust as people everywhere "celebrate" the fact that the Earth's population has now reached a staggering and unmanageable seven billion,"
Wait a minute, who are these people "celebrating"? I saw a few news items on it, and that was it. Also, what is it you find so disgusting? Last I checked, you're one of the 7 billion -- so are you saying you shouldn't be here? Are you mad at your parents for bringing you into the world? And clearly you've never deeply researched your arguments -- 'Global overpopulation leads to famine, environmental damage, disease, animal endangerment and extinction, increased prices of food and drinking water"? Really, and here I thought it might have to do something with people in the West, childbearing and childfree, imposing their political and economic will on Africa, Arabia, Latin America and Asia. Famine was caused by export mono-cropping in Ethiopia. Environmental damage has generally been linked to the industrial revolution and the high tech one that followed. And on and on. Any person who actually studies the denigration of the Third World generally finds it linked to oligarchs in those countries aligned with people (like the late great Steve Jobs) who put profits ahead of poor people. "Overpopulation" is a siren song capitalist exploiters have been singing for decades as they rape and pillage people all over the world. Thanks for helping the oppressors, Ms. Glen!

Please wait...
