I'll bet two hours' worth of minimum wage that ROM only read the first part of Anon's rant before getting all sanctimonious. And let's not forget that plenty of people 'forced' to work on holidays are paid quite well -- are we all up in arms about ANYBODY having to work on the holidays, or just the ones that earn lower wages? At what rate of pay does one gain/lose the sympathies of people like ROM?

Plus, poorer people generally want/need to work as many hours as possible, no? For example, i lost out on about $100 because my employer closed shop on Thanksgiving (X-mas and New Year's are going to fuck me, too). That's a significant amount of money for me -- 25% of my weekly income. I'm betting that plenty of people who worked that day were quite glad to have been able to do so.

Also, F.Y.I.: Thanksgiving isn't the only day of the year that one can choose spend with their family.
