Since I couldn't figure out how to copy you on my email to Sheriff Moncrief, I am quoting it here. I must comment, however, on your being upset with President Obama for not keeping his promises to the gay constituency. What promises? I thought that was the problem for gays at election time. That he wouldn't make promises was the cry then. I guess no one remembers sixteen years ago when we got DADT in the first year of the Clinton administration. Too bad. I think President Obama may remember that. Why don't you (and the "gay leadership" in this country.

"Just what decade do you think we're living in, Mr. Sheriff? Forty years ago such behavior by over-sexed, gender-questionable "lawmen," like those you apparently employ were brought up short for LESS VIOLENT behavior at Stonewall in New York. Didn't you ever hear about that?

A recent case of gay bashing/killing occurred recently in DC. The police accepted that the victim, a well-known, well-educated urban black man, had fondled the private parts of some URBAN, shall we say, thug, as if anyone in their right minds would want to "fondle" his junk. The thugs beat him to death.

Your department's conduct, to date, has been inexcusable. I hope that you will correct that and make those thugs in your department be responsible for their incredible behavior.

You can make a difference, Mr. Moncrief. OR, you can be just another redneck Texas sheriff, with a big pot belly and, apparently, no balls.

It's your choice. You'll have many fans if you do the right thing. Otherwise, your name, and that of Fort Worth, TX, will live in infamy.
