Once again, attacking the effect, and not the cause.

Cull the population, and you cull all our maladies.

Carry on.

Ha, I like how he just slips in the "curfew for teenagers" in there, like it's a natural part of the sequence. What's the ratio of teens to teen shooters? Like 10,000:1? That seem like a measured response.

Looks like Sam is going to get tag-teamed by the ACLU *and* NRA.
4
Does Sam not understand that criminals do not obey laws, no matter how many new ones pass?
5
I think we should all take a second (all of Portland) and go read some archived news from Washington, DC, enacting their handgun registration law. We can learn a lot about municipal regulations of firearms.
6
Yes, because these shootings were clearly perpetrated by law-abiding citizens.

166.170 State preemption. (1) Except as expressly authorized by state statute, the authority to regulate in any matter whatsoever the sale, acquisition, transfer, ownership, possession, storage, transportation or use of firearms or any element relating to firearms and components thereof, including ammunition, is vested solely in the Legislative Assembly. (2) Except as expressly authorized by state statute, no county, city or other municipal corporation or district may enact civil or criminal ordinances, including but not limited to zoning ordinances, to regulate, restrict or prohibit the sale, acquisition, transfer, ownership, possession, storage, transportation or use of firearms or any element relating to firearms and components thereof, including ammunition. Ordinances that are contrary to this subsection are void. [1995 s.s. c.1 ยง1]

Just let the PoPo do what they do best -- shoot the dump fucks. All we have to do is tell them gangs are mentally ill.

@Rosy

You might as well include the hundreds of other awesome mayors that don't like illegal guns while you're at it. That was a nice attempt at pulling out a few bad seeds amongst the many though. Please try again.

So Dennis. Just as an afterthought. Are you actually looking for whatever unflattering photo you can find of the mayor to post? I noticed you were digging into the Seattle Times for this one. Did you not get a stipend for a camera to shoot your own unflattering photos? Matt was always really good at getting his own unflattering photos.

@blackedOut -- I still get the giggles that 10% of them used this program as a smoke screen because they were already in trouble.

If he does go through with this in spite of OSR 166.170 we can have another recall for the real reason he needs to go.

@Rosy

If we could take every gun away from every person in America and they could only rent a hunting rifle when they were cleared by a security check and psych evaluation I would be a happy clam. And no we don't need another recall. Please try to run one yourself. I've been looking for someone new to mercilessly make fun of for being delusional and hopeless. Also...what did I have to say about this program that led you to comment at me? I was asking Dennis why he was posting unflattering photos from the Seattle Times rather than taking his own unflattering photos.

@BlackedOut In countries where they do that people just throw acid on each other or use broken bar glasses.

I am sure that mayor adams will fork over that bicycle money so that we can hire more Police Officers to enforce the curfew.......check everyone walking around in the city for a loaded firearm.....Excluding persons found guilty of a firearms crime...... Background checks on anyone and everyone who looks suspicious.....
Pure unadulterated POPPY-COCK!
Use the money you will have to spend defending this in court to hire more Police.......
OH!......I forgot that money came from the tax payers now didn't it.....

How about a zero tolerance policy on gangs and gang activity. If someone is a known gang member life imprisonment period! That might actually deter some violence in our city. I am tired of politicians making more laws to "protect" the general public but laws that do not address the real issues at hand. Stop infringing on the liberties that we are guaranteed by our constitution, and give the policing agencies the power needed to combat the problem.

Please wait...
