Whatever authenticity the "better than average food cart" concept once had has long been forgotten. Now it's the same old frou-frou bullshit you'd expect from foodie culture, but now in some post-ironic pseudocasual setting. Only what's keeping the schlubs out now ain't reservations or a dress code, it's the culturally loaded mental gymnastics one must master in order to justify paying $15 for a hot dog. Bonus points if it claims to emulate / riff on / pay tribute to the one that costs $1.50 after the checkouts at Costco.
