So this guy walks into a bar... He's just pulled up on his motorcycle and is dressed head to toe in hot biker wear. He pulls off his helmet and his sandy blond hair falls neatly into its tidy Ken doll cut. He unzips his high-tech, high-dollar jacket, adeptly opens the ATM machine, pulls bundles of bills from his chest pocket, sticks 'em where the sun don't shine, closes the ATM, and rides off into the sunset. Every girl in the joint's got her jaw on the table, her date mystified as to what he's said to elicit such a torrid response. It's not you, dude, it's [insert superhero theme song here] SKY TRAMMELL. Sky's been massaging the local economy since 2001, making sure Goldstar ATMs are stocked with cash so y'all have enough beer money to cover the rent at your favorite watering holes. When not barhopping on his fearless steed (a Yamaha Roadliner 1900), Sky enjoys acting (primarily theater, though LA's been calling), runs a Portland premier soccer team called Ninja, and rescues damsels in distress on Mt. Hood as a volunteer ski patrol. He's a Virgo.

Is Sky your given name?

Yes. My dad's name was also Sky. It was taken from an old radio show, Sky King. He was kinda like the Lone Ranger of radio, but flew an airplane instead of riding a horse.

What kind of consulting do you do?

I evaluate whether a business would be profitable with an ATM and let them know the different options. Goldstar is one of the few ATM companies that works with a lot of start-ups. We're also one of the few that allows a business to go from having a fully serviced ATM to owning its own, which is great for start-ups that don't have a lot of extra cash.

So you drive around on your motorcycle, loaded with cash? What if you wrecked? Would the streets be littered with money?

Maybe.

Do you have a security system?

There's not a lot of cash that goes into ATM machines. A couple thousand dollars isn't worth anybody going to jail for a real long time.

What are the qualifications for the job? I'd imagine you couldn't have a felony or a misdemeanor.

There aren't too many qualifications. You could have felonies and misdemeanors. I imagine fraud wouldn't look too good on your record, or armed robbery.

It's pretty hot seeing you pull up to a bar on your motorcycle loaded with cash. Do you get a lot of chicks' numbers?

Occasionally I'll get some looks. I try to attract as little attention as possible.

Favorite part of the job?

Being in this business you see a lot of places come and go. You see how they succeed and how they fail. Portland's an interesting town. Trends change quite a bit. It's neat to see the younger generations get their places, to watch them grow and see them succeed.
