Not content with just piggybacking on Pitchfork's post, we contacted Menomena and demanded more information on Mines. After he was done cleaning up the brick we tossed through his window, drummer Danny Seim told us a little more about the follow-up to Friend And Foe:

• Menomena has added Joe Haege (Tu Fawning, 31knots) as a fourth member for touring purposes.
• "Pilgram's Progress" is a b-side from Mines and will be part of the Record Store Day split with Helio Sequence (who contribute the song "Converter"). That seven-inch will include a download code and fancy letterpress cardboard packaging.
• Speaking of RSD, both Seim and Helio's Benjamin Weikel will be guest DJ'ing at Everyday Music (Burnside location) from 7-9pm. If you ask nicely, maybe DJ Seim will play Mines in its entirety* just for you.

* Not gonna happen.
