The first time I heard a song by Two Door Cinema Club, I was dancing before I knew why. I assumed "Undercover Martyn" was a fluke hit single, but when I listened to more of their music, all of it was catchy as hell. This improbable feat probably explains how the Irish trio have been touring the world since before their debut album Tourist History was even released back in February, quickly earning a reputation as electrifying live performers.

Their upbeat indie pop sound hit me in the same sweet spot occupied by We Are Scientists, but I suspect Two Door Cinema Club is heading for a less fleeting level of success. So far this year, they've already toured with rising stars Tokyo Police Club (appropriately) and Phoenix, not to mention their recognition by the BBC as one to watch. Catch them tonight at the Hawthorne Theatre with Generationals and Funeral Party, and see if you don't leave your ass on the dance floor.
