Dirtnap Records turns 14 this week, just one year shy of its quinceañera. That's not keeping the Portland-based garage and punk label from celebrating, though: They're hosting a doozy of a bash this Friday, September 20, at Slabtown, headlined by Denton's own Marked Men, and with Bad Sports, White Wires, Sonic Avenues, Mind Spiders, Low Culture, Mean Jeans, Guantanamo Baywatch, Youthbitch, and Autistic Youth. (Seattle gets a bash of its own on Saturday.)

Before we go any further, let's take a listen to a track from Mind Spiders, the other band of Marked Men's Mark Ryan. This one comes from their upcoming album Inhumanistic, due out in October.

Advance tickets for the Slabtown show are already sold out, but there'll be about 50 or so available at the door. And we're gonna help Dirtnap celebrate, too, by offering a special vinyl prize pack that includes records by the bands playing the show. To enter, send an email to this address with "Dirtnap" in the subject line. Include your first and last name in the email, along with the name of your favorite Dirtnap band. We'll select a winner at random and hook them up with the vinyl prize pack, which they can pick up at Dirtnap HQ—actually, Green Noise Records at 3840 SE Gladstone. This closes Thursday at 5 pm, so enter now!
