One of the funnest events of the summer is the Big Float, a yearly celebration of the Willamette River and the continuing efforts to keep it healthy! The premise is pretty simple: You bring your most flamboyant inflatable device and a life jacket, join the parade down the south waterfront, hop in the water, and have a leisurely float alongside thousands of other water-lovers while you listen to bands such as Blitzen Trapper play, and just freaking RELAX. Then relax some more with the beach afterparty at Tom McCall Bowl with beer and food carts! That’s a lot of fun and good-time relaxing.
