Clare Apparently heads up the inaugural installment of the Drag Queen Story Hour at Powell's with readings from Julián Is a Mermaid by Jessica Love and Love, Z by Jessie Sima. Created by Michelle Tea, Drag Queen Story Hour is a worldwide event where drag queens read stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. This event is co-sponsored by Q Center, the largest LGBTQ2SIA+ community center in the Pacific Northwest.
