The author of Live Through This returns with I Am a Stranger Here Myself, blending elements of history and memoir to tell the story of the missionary Narcissa Prentiss Whitman, the first Caucasian woman to cross the Rocky Mountains, and one of the fourteen people killed at the Whitman Mission in 1847 by Cayuse Indians. Gwartney will be joined in conversation by Apricot Irving, author of The Gospel of Trees.
