Grumbling about gentrification while shopping at Whole Foods and spending money at big-name restaurants doesn’t get you anywhere. Put your money where your mouth’s at during Portland’s sixth annual Support Black-Owned Restaurants Week by helping Portland’s African-American businesses prosper in a city that’s routinely uprooted them. Make time this week to visit a few of Portland’s 90 Black-owned restaurants serving West African cuisine, Caribbean food, East African dining, soul food, BBQ, and other delicacies.
