In McCarthyism vs. Clinton Jencks, Raymond Caballero chronicles the life of labor and social justice activist Clinton Jencks, who led the Mexican American fight for equal rights in New Mexico’s mining industry before being wrongly sentenced to prison for alleged Communist ties at the height of the McCarthy era’s oppression. Caballero will be joined in conversation by Barbara Dudley, Senior Fellow at the Hatfield School’s Center for Public Service.
