PNCA Feldman Gallery Northwest
Mondays-Sundays. Continues through Oct. 26 2008
For nearly a decade, the Yes Men have been sticking it to corporate America through an unprecedented (and straight-up ballsy) mix of activism and performance art. In that time, Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno (yes, they’re pseudonyms) have infiltrated the media, confused the public, and shamed corporate bigwigs through spoof websites and hilarious imposter appearances. Like what? Last June, they posed as reps from ExxonMobil and the National Petroleum Council at Canada’s largest oil conference to outline their plan for a new source of sustainable fuel: human bodies. Keep It Slick, which marks their first major exhibition, gathers posters, props, and video footage from these conscientious pranksters’ greatest hits.
