The Pink Carpet Project fashion show, a benefit for Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette is coming up next week at PNCA on Thursday at 8 pm. The line-up of designers (mostly local, with a few visiting from Seattle, where the first Pink Carpet took place early this past spring) has been updated:

Lisa Vian Hunter, featured on NBC's "Fashion Star", Ilha Swimwear, English Department, Clair Vintage Inspired, Brady Lange, Cameron Levin, Sharon Blair, owner of Portland Sewing and SKPDX, Chicago Harper, Wandering Muse, Reif Haus, Ruki, Saint Elyns, Tiffany Bean

I'm always looking for fresh blood inspiration, so the new-to-me names always pique my interest—I'm especially excited to see the work of Pink Carpet organizer Cameron Levin on the runway for the first time, and I never did tune into Fashion Star, so it will be a new introduction to Hunter as well. Closer to home, I can't wait to see what Brady Lange comes up with, I know him as a former assistant to Adam Arnold as well as retail gigs with Blackbird and Grayling—pretty impressive references all around. Tiffany Bean is best known as the owner of the Mabel and Zora boutique who recently started producing her own retro-inspired designs, a project whose flames I'm happy to see are being fanned. Plus there are some aces in the hole who are reliably brilliant: the English Dept, Chicago Harper, Reif Haus, and Ruki, to name a few.

If the great talent and crucially important cause don't get you, there's always the fact that the show will be co-emceed by myself and my Portland Monthly counterpart/bestie Eden Dawn. We promise to be as dignified as the limited extent of our ability allows. Tickets are $20 for standing admission, more if your a high-rollin' VIP donor.
