it reflects Portland ratio, so there is nothing to complain about. you're welcome to start your own business & use who you like as models. in fact, you are encouraged.
@ TheOnlySanePersonInTheWorld - You shouldn't judge people based on their skin color or ethnicity. I think all of these shots are gorgeous, regardless of the 'race' of any of them.
This comes up every time we do a photo shoot, so just to shed some light on the process: As is often the case, the models in this shoot were sourced by the people (this year, the designers in the fashion show—last year it was the boutiques) who are showcased. If I had the budget to go through an agency and do a formal casting, I would have more control over such things. It is something I am sensitive to, and I do what I can to represent as much diversity as possible, but most often I don't have the luxury of calculation (I have the creative luxuries of collaboration and enthusiasm). All these women are gorgeous and total sports, and I was super enthused to work with all of them. I have zero complaints.
Fabulous photos - the light, the house- all work so well to showcase the beautiful clothing and accessories. Sorry that I had to be out of town and missed the show.
Please wait...
and remember to be decent to everyone all of the time.
See you got one sista up in this shit, good job. Maybe toss in few more or some Asians or Latinas?
