Mike Reese needs to go. Please sign this petition to have him fired.

Reese is doing just fine. Don't be silly.

Thank you Merc, for doing this honest, non-bias article on Portland Occupy. Certainly better written than WW's piece last week.

I don't often agree with frankieb but I'm with him on this one. Compared to many of the clowns that have purported to act as Chief of Police, along with the myriad complications involved in dealing with the PPB union, whatever minor missteps Reese may have taken, he's doing fine.

LOL at naive white libtards

Chief Reese has my support. Considering the situation and complexities, he has done a great job.

This article gives far more information regarding what OP is about than the movement itself. Of the 13 times I've visited since it first sprung up, the only info I get is "we're the 99%" and "quit buying into the capitalist machine". It's hard to tell if OP is Mr. Theriault's bread-and-butter or vice versa.

I read parts of this article over the weekend and couldn't help thinking it is fairly outdated. By Thursday of last week the Occupy movement seems completely dead.

Ah, to be a journalist swept up in the events of a changing time! The Romance, the Excitement!
Denis' own 'Year of Living Dangerously'!

(Just pokin' fun Denis.)

I have an idea that we can rally around, and that will stop the money elites abuses against the public;

Let voters vote on pending legislation along with their legislators.

As assistant law-makers, our elected representatives would have to listen to the will of the general public. We will know if they vote against us, or for Wall St...
We can use the Oregon voter initiative process to put this idea on the November ballot.
