Lots to recommend POWFest, including films about ordinary people who did the extraordinary, inspiring each of us to find our passion and commit to it--like each of these filmmakers have done! I'm excited to be one of those filmmakers :-)
My film is "Marion Stoddart: The Work of 1000". It's a short documentary that tells the story of an adventurous, young "ordinary" woman, caught in the seemingly dull life of a suburban housewife in the 1960s. But, she found her passion, and took on big business, politicians, and a skeptical public to save a dying river, which also saved her!
