Since last October, when Movie Madness was saved with the Hollywood Theatre's Kickstarter campaign, things have been looking up for the beloved Portland video store. One of those things? Movie Madness has their own beer now, courtesy of Ex Novo Brewing. Movie Madness' Cult Classic Pale Ale is "a classic American pale ale brewed with two-row and caramel malts and Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops, offering notes of tangerine, pine, and toasty malts."

Starting July 1, you'll be able to grab a few bottles when you're renting movies at Movie Madness, which is the single greatest example of multitasking that I have ever heard of, and it'll also be on tap at the Hollywood, the Moon and Sixpence, Lutz Tavern, and Misdemeanor Meadows.

One of the big things that pops about Cult Classic Pale Ale, though, is its label, pictured above—designed by Portland artist Nate Ashley, it's full of movie references. So full, in fact, that we're giving away two tickets to the Hollywood Theatre to some lucky movie nerd who identify all of them. (At the bottom of this post, there's a stretch-o expand-o version of the label so you can really get a good look at it.)

To enter to win those tickets, email meno later than 4 pm today, Fri, June 22, and make sure your subject line reads "Cult Classic." Include all the references you can spot (nope, I'm not telling you how many there are), and out of the emails that list all of the references, I'll pick a winner at random. That's it! Have at! UPDATE: This contest is OVER. Enter faster next time, movie and/or beer nerds!
