It's pretty tasty for sure, and the most convenient place by my house for breakfast. It just feels a little too clean and a little too slick - a bit more Seattle or California than Oregon/Sellwood. The food was decent and the drinks tasty, but overall a bit too polished and expensive for my tastes. Bertie Lou's FTW in Sellwood!
I don't get it. I had the corned beef hash on a Sunday. It's not that it was bad; it just wasn't great. The potatoes were not crispy, the meat, I know it's home-made, but it was under seasoned. The portions were a tad small for breakfast. I appreciate keeping portions reasonable but for $11 I want a little more hash than 6 oz. It's half potatoes and a dish that is supposed to be made with leftovers. It shouldn't be expensive to prepare. Also, I found the restaurant itself too sterile and cold to really enjoy breakfast. On a good note, the coconut and hemp milk hot chocolate was divine.
