Burnside Brewing's Futuristic Fermentation

stout is ale.

It's a story about love, deception, greed, lust and... unbridled enthusiasm. You see, Billy was a simple country boy -- you might say a cockeyed optimist, who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue.

I love beer and gastronomic chemistry, but I stopped reading this after seeing a comparison made to the exploitative and shameless Mark Zuckerberg, with the implication that he has unbridled enthusiasm and visionary obsession.

Sorry, Thiebes...next time I'll use Jonathan Abrams. If it makes you feel better, I don't have a facebook profile.

Nice to see WW doing something worthwhile. Burnside Brewing is awesome! You've got skills Tony. Why do you work for that third rate POS lefty fag rag?

@Oreraider

A. Thanks...kind of you to say.
B. This is the Mercury, not the Willamette Week.
C. I thought the best way to indoctrinate your children with a lefty homosexual agenda was to write about restaurants in Portland. But if they're only reading the second-rate fag rags, I guess, what's the point? I'll consider tendering my resignation.

I haven't tried the oatmeal pale, but I thought both the ipa and the stout were kind of...boring. Pretty 1-note, and just ok...I was sick of both by the end of the pint. The "sweet heat" beer wasn't hot enough or sweet enough for me...just blah. I'll give the food a try sometime, though.

Its really great to see so many different takes on craft beer popping up around the country. Oscar Blues, Clown Shoes, and Leinenkugel are doing some really great things.

Please wait...
