This town is getting too fancy for it's own good.

^^^agree, the self image of Portland is distorted and naive, but this sounds like quite a nice place with great service (I know, I know we are not supposed to have that here anymore but heres to hoping it starts a new trend)

I've actually disagreed with Andrea Damewood's reviews quite a bit. For example, I love Life of Pie and I was underwhelmed by The American Local (although I agree that the service there was great). However, Damewood's review structure is smart and her asides are witty so I enjoy reading her reviews.

Bollywood Theatre is a disgrace and having lived at 27th and Clinton, since before the "awakening" in the last few years, this place can go fuck itself. I think the review is well written, but the last thing the neighborhood needs is more kitschy bullshit. Props to the place having good servers, Bollywood Theatre doesn't even have good cashiers, let alone someone who can make a curry.

Please wait...
