Similar situation for us at brunch in October. More than a hour wait for just-okay food in tiny portions. No quarter from the kitchen, leaving the wait staff to make lame excuses. Never again.

Dick move, that. Ask anyone who works in the service industry about how awesome is for people to show up right before your close.

Anyone in the service industry—or any industry for that matter—knows that until a business is closed for the day they are open. Why should restaurants be exempt?

5 minutes before closing is a dick move, 40 minutes before closing is quite reasonable. But it is Portland, and while Old Portland may be dead, crappy service lives on.
