Sons of Haiti Work Party
Since 1954, the Sons of Haiti Lodge has operated on North Mississippi Avenue in North Portland. It’s now the longest standing Black-owned building in the historical African American neighborhood. New nonprofit Brown Hope is hosting a work party to help the lodge restore an upstairs space with the intent of creating an affordable events center.
