Yes, You Have to Go to Court. It’ll Be Fine.

I received a ticket from a radar cop for allegedly speeding through a school zone. I knew I hadn't, so I requested the school zone light schedule from PPS, then the city and finally PBOT. The lights had been turned off 3 minutes before the time stamped on my speeding ticket.

All dressed up with emails and schedules in hand, I arrived to the traffic court prepared to make my argument! Then, the traffic cop called me outside to say he was dismissing my case. He realized the lights had, in fact, been turned off shortly before he ticketed me.

I never got my day in court, but the ticket was dismissed regardless.

Please wait...
