I don't think I'm spectacularly memorable, but I'm not a beige piece of waiting room art either. I have encountered in Portland an extraordinary amount of people who don't remember meeting people multiple times or who simply don't remember people's names. I no longer take it personally, but it does lead one to believe that people are either smoking too much weed or too self absorbed to pay attention to those around you. It is a particularly prolific problem in people who I've met in alternative settings, where acceptance of self expression is pro ported to be embraced. Just something to think about when you're participating and interacting with others at one of these events. Take the time to see people instead of viewing them as photo stock shots of your memory background.
